Bike park, pump track and children's zone: three ways to try mountain biking in summer

Several purpose-built spaces offer mountain biking away from the usual paths, with routes suited to different levels and ages. A mini bike park, a pump track and a zone for children each take a different approach, from a play area shaped like mountain terrain to a waymarked site on flat ground.

La Croisette and its mini bike park

The La Croisette play zone is a natural play area shaped like mountain terrain, built for learning mountain biking. It has four trails of increasing difficulty, marked green, blue, red and black, taking riders from beginner to more experienced level. Each can be ridden alone or with an instructor.

A balance bike area completes the site. It includes an obstacle course designed for the youngest riders, from 18 months, to help them learn balance and cornering.

The Les Menuires pump track

The Les 3 Vallées track, the Les Menuires pump track, is a closed circuit made up of bumps and turns. Its design means users can keep moving without ever pedalling or putting a foot down; the flow of the course comes from the sequence of humps.

The site takes several kinds of equipment: skateboards, roller skates, bikes, scooters and balance bikes. It has three difficulty levels, green, blue and red, across 2,000 m².

The Bruyères lake kids' zone

The kids' zone is a waymarked, purpose-built mountain biking site around the Bruyères lake. Its flat profile makes it suited to accessible riding, distinct from the bike park's routes of progressive difficulty.

The route includes several features: stream crossings, small bridges and stretches of singletrack. This zone is open to children from the age of 7.
