Snow park, secured off-piste and a beginners' play piste: the ski area's play zones

The Pixel Area snow park and boardercross

The Pixel Area snow park has modules in progressive sizes, from XS to L, for riders to progress at their own pace. Equipment includes moguls, boxes, rails, kickers and whoops. A terrace known as the Chill zone gives views over the riders below. The Sunny Express and Becca chairlifts serve the snow park.

The neighbouring boardercross pits skiers against each other on a course lined with moguls and tight bends. The Becca chairlift serves the upper section, above the snow park. Below it, the lower section is reached via the Sunny Express chairlift.

The Friendly Natural Park at La Masse

The Friendly Natural Park sits in the La Masse sector and is reached by the Pointe de la Masse gondola. It combines skiing with a look at the wildlife found in the Parc de la Vanoise. Six species are presented there: the black grouse, the golden eagle, the rock ptarmigan, the badger, the common frog and the Alpine marmot.

The site includes a parallel slalom, games that can be played on skis, a picnic area and an interpretation area. A terrace hosts an exhibition on the park's animals and can be used for a lunch break.

Liberty Ride, secured off-piste in Les 3 Vallées

Two Liberty Ride zones - one at Les Menuires and the other at Saint-Martin-de-Belleville - provide a waymarked off-piste area within Les 3 Vallées. Their pistes are left ungroomed and staked with poles throughout the season, for skiing and snowboarding beyond the plotted pistes.

The Pointe de la Masse gondola, in the La Masse sector, reaches the Les Menuires zone. In the Riondaz sector, the Saint Martin Express chairlift serves the Saint-Martin-de-Belleville zone.

La Montagnette, a green run turned into a play area for beginners

La Montagnette, a green run above the Croisette reached by chairlift, has been redesigned as a space for learning to ski. The course is built for beginners, both children and adults.

A marmot, a familiar mountain figure used as the course guide, leads learner skiers past coloured arches, totems and interactive modules that punctuate the descent. The Menuires and Doron chairlifts serve the piste.
